Special Education Introduction
Children with special needs need a variety of opportunities to learn and multiple ways to express what they know about a topic. Each student is unique in how they learn and each learner has varying knowledge, life experiences and backgrounds that they bring to a lesson. It is hoped that the resources contained in this section will provide tools to help each learner express themselves so they can show what they know.
The Special Education section has been divided into several areas; All things 'i' - iPads, iTouch, iPhone, AAC, Assistive Technology, Lifeskills, Switch Activities, Universal Design for Learning and inspiring videos. Click on the links in these sections to find resources related to the topics. These activities can be used as teacher resources and/or supplement your curriculum while enriching and engaging your students.
